Please only post bugs that we do not know about or are new 1.4.0 bugs.

Nothing to do with lag please, we know the network coding is horrible at this time and we are working on it.

occasionally, when i go to upgrade/change a module that is right before (e.g. boost on my battleship) my tube modules, it will open a list of weapons for me to choose from. i can click to buy the weapon but the module goes unchanged. not a big problem, and it's only happened 3 times of the like 10 i've re-fitted.

Couldn't replicate, how are you doing this? Via mouse click? Scrolling? etc?

scrolling with > and <. i found something else interesting... [NOTE: this server has been modded (darts increased ammo, power usage and damage by a bit, for testing)] while orbiting an asteroid [like it has anything to do with the bug] i saw an AI get done q-warping.. but it was still 'playing through' the QDriveExit image filmstrip, yet moving like a normal ship, getting shot at, etc. i did not re-sync to see if that was the cause.

EDIT: i only saw that one ship do it. all other were fine, but i didn't pay much attention. I'm a crappy bug reporter, lol

In online mode its because of a missed packet usually that causes it. probably could add some validation code sometime though but I want to wait for the network coding when shit isn't going to get out of sync like a regular game ;p

All that is left should be a couple crash bugs to fix otherwise we should be good. Wink

i noticed it happens to any module now, if you select a module, and the 'bug' happens, it will take you to the screen of the upgrading/changing of the module below it. e.g. i go to shields but it takes me to the engine upgrades..

Typical bug. Possibly happens if an "alien" weapon has been acquired..or the display engine just can't keep up with your rapid pounding input from the keyboard. It's no biggie, just press "U", and it'll most likely fix itself...

Server "screw-up" process began "Stage 2" as soon as me and Cyko both killed each other in starbases (which probably kick-started "Stage 1", which starts "Stage 2" ASAP). "Stage 3" is obviously in motion as I post this as nobody's going to be able to login the US server, unless I'm wrong...although I'm using 1.3x terms here, it may be carried over to 1.4x.

3:35 PM Pacific

Defs by me.
  • Stage 1: "Screw up process begin, start stage 2"
  • Stage 2: Start endless? sync loop, lag kicks possible.
  • Stage 3: Sync loop prevents anybody logging in.

EDIT: Seems after 10 minutes of the endless sync loop, it seems to have fixed itself, normal gameplay appears to have been resumed.

That Stage 2 is noted I believe to also be the server its on. The server its hosted has some wierd latency issues that come and go constantly. I run 'bot' there for another game and the latency issues on it is so extreme that it ended up being not worth it. I'm honestly not sure why its acting up so much over that reason too. I don't think its PING lag causing it, it could be missed packets for example. Though I have NO clue and I'm not too sure over it all Sad Might have plague take a look but ever since we had the new server theres been odd bootoffs for no reason. People state on there servers they don't get that as often.

For the most case I"ll keep an eye for it though. Wondering if the 'blocking of slots' has been fixed or not in the end.

I found a bug in the module listing I need to fix overall though. Could be your bug, affects when more then 12 modules. The game was never designed for more then that, and I had to add a quick fix to it, though I want to recode it from scratch.
