I haven't had any problems whasoever during gameplay, but it does tend to crash a little while loading different server, especially when I change servers during the same session.

Yes, these would be apart of the whole during loading. It's mainly due to the old image loading system. Most of it is changed and it works alot better in 2.0 anyways Smiley I'm guessing if it is during gameplay there might be something up with his computer. Specially if its happening offline.

Same here. I keep crashing after 5 to 20 minutes of playing. It happens randomly (Doesn't matter what I do to prevent it). I run Win 7 64 bit. It also happens when I'm playing against the computer. And yes, i have the latest update. The "crash" goes like this;

-Game freezes
-after 1 second a message pops up saying stellar frontier isn't responding anymore.
- after that you get a choice from: close aplication/cancel.
- Then they ask if you want to sent a error message to microsoft...
- And now i can restart my rank... all over again...

I am wondering if there is an issue with Win 7. Does anyone else have Windows 7 64BIT and experience this? DeathEater, is this the OS  you run? And 64 bit? For the most case BRENT is adding a crash log reporter system, maybe I can have him add it to the current SF and you can send a proper log so we see where it is crashing on your end. I believe he stated it was simple to add so I'll have to check it out.

FYI, I'm developing under windows 7 64-bit and haven't had any issues with 1.4 or 2.0

That is super odd. I'm trying to add the crash logger system to 1.4 but the old compiler is old. Basically it is being stubborn. If I get it going it should allow us to determine where the crash is coming from. I'm guessing it is somewhere minor in the game engine and some line of coding is being stubborn on very few machines.

I'll see what I can whip up anyways soon.

P.S. In offline mode, stats only save when you exit/enter at the moment. Save button doesn't work there.

Have you tried to create a online profile and play online? Not though local lan or your local host, through the actual NEXUS account creation/etc.

Doesn't matter. If i exit the game with for instance: 1 kills 0 deaths and play a game after that one and it crashes, my score of 1-0 is erased to. On line and of line.

Hrm, maybe it's a profile bug, try deleting the sf.h file in your binwin folder. Even though you experience crashes, it will created a sf.prf on load, could be corrupt.

ALSO, a suggestion would be to try to run frontier.exe as admin if you have not already, perhaps its trying to save to sf.prf and erroring due to permissions? Just a guess.

Mind you just little things I"m throwing out until I can get the crash logger ported from 2.0 to 1.4

hmm didn't work both. Even did a clean install. However, going on a server and saving it manually seems to work. Altough when i try playing ofline those stats don't show up. But now at least i don't have to rank up to 1st lieut every time i login...

Well it's probably the last crash bug to solve, but occurs in very few computers. But we'll figure it out anyways when I get some free time to finish a few things to figure out where it is crashing on your end.

I will be sending a special EXE client with a crash logger. You should get it in your Private Message Box soon.
