I can't seem to use upgrades (the ones bought with credits) no matter what i do!!! could some give me detailed instructions on how to upgrade with credits? thanks.
-Dock with the Starbase first using the DOCK button or the D key. You will dock with a STARBASE.
-Scroll to module you wish to upgrade with the NEXT/BACK key, or use the < and > key to scroll through them after you have docked.
-When you have the module that you WANT to upgrade, hit ENTER or hit UPGRADE. A new list will appear.
-Scroll to the module you wish to upgrade/downgrade with. Note: YOU MUST HAVE CREDITS AND ENOUGH VOLUME (space.) In some cases, you need MASS too. (Too heavy to get). Hit UPGRADE again or enter to upgrade.
That should be it. Please note in smaller ships you wont' beable to get much upgrades until you get to the bigger ships. You SHOULD be able to get MOST weapons, but for power/shields/engines/etc you are very limited in a corvette and gets better as you rank up. There should also be a message stating if you dont have enough volume or credits when selecting through modules.
