Our "everlasting" and ONLY impression in the place called TV Tropes has this to say about us:

Quote
Space is Noisy

 Video Games

    * Lasers, ship thrusters, explosions, and so on are very noisy in Stellar Frontier.
(Note I made Frontier in red because they don't have an VG article 'bout us)

The sound needs to be redone, but there is no one to do it. The sound is absolutely horrible I feel, it's outdated and very low quality.  Kinda lolled though about that Tongue

HUH?!?

What are you talking about :S The sound is awesome. Although not realistic but no game in the entire word is realistic.

For me it is perfect  Smiley

Haha well its very old, and super low quality. Alot of people do not like a good portion it. Plus technically, it's copyright because there all star trek rips, which I doubt Stardock got rights too :p

Some of the noise is fine, but it does need to be alot better on quality. Some noises like the laser, I find can be very loud and all Tongue

Yeah the sound is a bit dated for sure.  But the dude who wrote that I feel is sorta retarded.  Yeah, sound does not carry in the void of space if you want to be realistic.  But who the hell wants to play a game without any sound effects at all?  Eh, oh well....

Oh yeah I totally agree with that Tongue Sound effects make a game sexy. We can always make a 1930's black and white.. game for him.

Pah I though you said you were only doing music because you are busy with developing other things so didn't think you we're still game for it (sound effects) Tongue Though if you are then that's pro because I prefer the high quality stuff like the radar noises you did. Tongue

I said I was busy, and I wasn't doing them until we had an actual working set of what we need.

I don't feel like doing 400 sound effects we'll ultimately end up not needing.
You have no idea how much work just four or five can be.

Alrighty that's good to hear then. Soon as we're done the alpha client for network/directx/fps issues we can sit down and figure out things for that kind of stuff. Should have the client soon anyways, working on a few issues.
