I was looking at the StellarForum Statistics (http://stellarfrontier.ss-network.net/index.php?action=stats) and there was this stat that was alarming.

Male to Female Ratio:   11.7:1

This is alarming. We need more ladies, too much man-love in here.

That is all.

Well good sir, remember something: guys are more gaming-oriented than girls.

Let's wait for 2.0 to come out and you'll see more ladies will join.

Just put a laptop in the kitchen and I'm sure we'll have a 500% increase in girl's playing.

We could also make a SF only handheld console and frying pan.

There are lots of girls in sf already.. in fact  i think i can name at least 5 that play a lot.

after 2.0 is done and we do our first burn of the big batch of cds for the game,  we intend on targeting females that way too.

I do not deny the stats on the female population of sf.. however the OE leads SF in current players who are female that do play..

Silisha
Shewolf
vagan
Hooters
Illumini

with a few inactives like

laura croft
jade

so how do we make sf more female likeable?

hooters said re open the cafe and put up a male model..
but in reality what would you do?

I think our female population will increase dramatically once 2.0 is released. You see, women actually have good taste. Wink Once we have a really awesome product out, they'll come in droves.

OE is more female friendly.... I will explain the reasoning I use, all members of oe are willing to help and teach new players, all oe members are friendly and do not act superior to the new players, they aren't impatient even if the same question or blonde newbie asks over and over.  And most important they encourage players, females in particular to go for it because no mistake is too big to be overcome.

And how did you manage to get 0 posts? Or, is it that posts in Spam Lounge don't count towards post count?
Oh and, well said :p

Yeah, the settings were that posts in Spam didn't count toward post count. The reasoning was that this would discourage people from spazzing out in Spam Lounge in order to raise their post count. I think people are mature enough not to do that though, so I've changed that setting now; all future posts in this board will count toward post count.
