Hey guys new here, a question, I downloaded the new andupdated freeware stellar fronteir, the one with the neweer planet textures, interface, and more AI. Same game, but better. I am wondering, I just go around and own ships, is there a faster way to get points? Im getting points, but its ship by ship, there has to be a faster better way of getting points in SF>

I do that, I grab colonies, drop them on red planets, and capture some, dont get much points for that, i even led the terran to victory by capturing the set planets for 5 min, still i rlly get points wen i kill ships.

Depends on how much you "contributed" to the conquest. Maximum score bonus per win is 1000.

The OE has a server rewritten by Nite called King of the Hill.  If you ever join the OE that server comes up upon request its purely for points and some decent AI killing.

LOL with diety rank at a million points, looong way to go. lol.

Where would the fun be if one could achieve the highest rank in a day or two? Wink

Besides, relatively few players ever make it to Deity. Ranks higher than Fleet Admiral really do not confer any advantage at all. If you get to Fleet Admiral, you are already able to play all of the ships. And if you get to Vice Admiral, you are able to play every ship except the Starbase (which isn't all that great anyway; it's really slow and is a big fat target, lol). And considering that most players - even high-ranked ones - fly a Destroyer or Frigate anyway, you don't really need a high rank to enjoy playing the game.

Out of curiosity, what rank do you have to be to fly a starbase?

That is correct to control all ships you need the rank of Flt. Admeral
that is when you can gain control of a Starbase.

how to achieve this rank in 15 mins?
well lets just say it has been done.

(for that you will need to go errm a little outside the realm of legitness.)
-I am of course speaking of "The Devil Sol By Tat"-

wich use is strictly forbidden however I happen to still have a copy of it.
dont ask me to run it however This time around I am earning my rank the right way.

perhaps if SF has massive amounts of players
(aka 50 players VS 50 players or 24 people at any givin time then perhaps I will unleash my original fleets leaders finest creation)

At the moment there is no points and it searves as a great piece of SF history.
(yes i do have a copy of the sol however im not exactly sure on wich CD it is on. It would take some time to upload and configure it to SF new Sol encryptions
and sol hosting allowances)
