I have to say that after reading several threads, two of which are locked to any one else's responses I'm not in much of a happy, happy mood. I have taken my meesly, inconsequental and non professional ads from fb and gameworld. I thought that working on SF and 2.0 was a collaborative effort, I was wrong, but it isn't the first time and it won't be the last. It will be, however, the last time I spend money to help get 2.0 anywhere. The scales are tipped and there is no true balance or neutral leadership that I have seen except in the OE where I will continue with my efforts to help and bring growth.

The original topic in tech issues about the new ship images was locked because those ships, I found them all on google sketch that a character named Nate stated was his. Can't use those, specially because they were never his to begin with (stolen), so I locked it. Now mars is doing his own thing without any help and I fully support it, but he is working/learning on how to make them, and of course he is getting better from when he started because he is working at it alot. Graphics design has a steep learning curve, and I do know if he sticks with it he'll get some very nice ships going that match the current 2.0 ships, or better. But I deleted my post explaining it because I dealt with it in PM with Mars, who severed all ties with Nate on this matter.
The other GD topic, was locked because there is nothing else to say, and all that was happening was a bash to each other, ATC picked at Mars, and Mars picked back (though it should not of been started to begin with by ATC). It would of kept going on like this until someone stopped it, (and the issue was dealt with) I've seen it several times here with the same people alot. I think everyone honestly needs to work together better rather then bashing each other. If you don't like something, someone should post, with constructive criticism.
I'm not locking topics just because though, I do explain it, but I prefer to do it with the people in question rather then declaring it publicly on the boards to prevent further bashing/etc.
No one stated your efforts was in vein, but the issue is no one wants to play a game that has bad net coding, which is being worked on and almost done in SF 2.0 (except for some message issues I believe.) I welcome all the support, what I don't welcome is people harrassing each other for no reason! I do understand there are going to be conflicts, but it's not needed with the small playerbase we have at the moment, it just drives people away. It's hard to advertise a game that isn't out yet, and people probably download the SF 1 version, and are disappointed due to it being very very outdated, you know? At this time the SF 1.4 is the 'main release', and you can only get SF 2 though SVN, which is not the easiest way for most players to get, but its the only way right now to keep everyone up to date constantly without having to repackage everything daily/weekly. I do want advertising, but I think at this point of stage we should wait until we have a full alpha release and can main it our 'main' focus on SF.NET with a proper download etc etc. I apologies you feel the way you do though, I do wish there was more I can say about the matter. Hopefully when we are more developed and have a calmer community overall we can try this again if you are up to it.
