It might look a bit Trek-like, but I do love the work on the Terran Carrier.

thank you chill, that was nice of you.  Thanks were working on trying to make less lines so the render when we get to that point will be a lot smoother it should look like the bomb rendered

being 2 years ago we could not even make a 3d flag LOL.
but yours still inspires us to do better LOL.

Well, as long as they look good on a heavily scaled down render, they're good to go Tongue

These are for pre-rendered sprites, correct?

yes they go to you next for final 2.0 color scheme well try to make them as 2.0ish as we can for final turn in however we now have 2 more on the design team so now its  :   Alex136, Mars, Weylin,John Crandell, Nathan X, USAA who dont want his last name used.

each of us has a part of it and were trying to get a process down so that future ships if any, can be done very pro and look beyond good in 3do at some point well have the process shrank having to use 3 different programs and hours and hours of time is alot of work.  Nite was right its not easy but i learn fast, and i know we can pull this off if we keep it up to a few finished products.

I wanted to suggest Blender3D

You could make a 36 framed object rotation tween with a linear IPO curve, have it output as whatever the desired sprite size is, or you can start with a larger render and scale it down as needed.

Looked better as a terran carrier like the above, not a arcean. Looks nicer though, defiantly more potential. Need some blue like the current ships has, but I'd probably suggest adding colors/trails/etc in a actual 3D program like Blender3D, 3D Max Studio, modo 401, etc, as Weylin suggested, the design will look 100% better there.

The Drengin Carrier looks more designed like an Arcean carrier would be. The dregs are a 'evil' type race really, and there designs are more pointed/jagged ends, like spikes, etc. 3D design takes alot of work, and alot of trial periods. But I'm not 100% sure that circular carrier would fit 100% with the current designs.

Your original terran cruiser, the one that looks way to much like Star Trek,

Federation Miranda. It also really doesn't fit the current feel of ships either.

Having good designs is one thing but it needs to match up with all the other 2.0 ships currently if you are designing a carrier. Otherwise the flow would be rather messy. The first image I showed you which I'd prefer to be a terran, isn't 100% design wise but I though it 'could' get there, I'm not sure yet.

I'm just replying here rather then PM atm, no point to reply with the same things.

Now this one looks more like something we can find within the SF Ships.

On the looks, it looks like the lovechild of a Freighter and a Starbase, which is likely what we'll need.

The 2nd carrier you suggested for terran could use some work to fit into drengin fleets, but still looks quite menacing, as a ship like this should.

The carrier for drengins will most likely fit into arceans with a bit more wings and a visible bridge. They are more of a Protoss-like race, so they should have something that looks like an ancient human structure.

So far, you're doing an amazing job!
