Trek Mod problem:

The Terrans do not spawn ANY bot, even thou they can spawn up to 16.

What triggers this: Every time I add a new planet (right now the count including stars is 69), the Terrans do not spawn after the addition. I omit the new planet from loading, the Terrans spawn.

Is there something that prevents a race that owns 14 planets to not spawn if the entire scenario has 70 or more planetary objects?

Can you set the -log feature (C:\pathtosf\file.exe -log) on the client and run the mod? Then check the log file (frontier.log should be) with both 69 and 70 planets, see if there different 'at all'. If they are, I can find out where it stopped that way, makes it more simple to debug, sort of speak.

I don't think theres anything to set, could be a maxplanet issue. I know theres a few variables in the source that state about a maxplanet, but it adjusts when the game loads. So might be something else.

Heres the logs, but it doesn't really show much about why the Terrans don't spawn any bots when 70 planets are present...

70 planets version of the log:

Oh and I looked at the mod's own log, didn't say anything about Terran past the "Ship design available at frame 0" lines when 70 planets present.

Alright one more thing, it says 100 robots spawned normally then?

Can you try setting it to lets say 50 spawned, see what happens there.

Ah I see, pretty wierd. I did a quick scan on the coding, didn't find nothing in particular about limiting to about 70 planets, going to have to play with it very throughly sometime, just not yet.

Seems odd.

What's the population count?

I've noticed in-game that when a race has a low population count comparatively, it has fewer ships.

Do you have low-pop planets?  OR a low population percentage compared to the total number of planets involved?

I believe there is a max on how many ships/race can there be... Planet wise/AI Wise... I remember someone had the same problem a couple years back...

When 125 players are set (100 max bots), Terrans can spawn 16 bots, but when I add another planet (raising count to 70), no Terran bot at all. I can't take a screenie in SF at the moment, what shows up in Photoshop is a monochrome picture of everything, nothing can be made out (NiteHawk better fix this, its part of bug "0000029").  Starting population % the Terrans have is 5%.

If there is such a limit (note in Frontier.log, it doesn't show a limit to planets or bots), then I call bull on that, we can run that many things on computers now, but it sure ain't internet friendly, my mod.

Somehow this fixed itself...I added 40 Eridani A (Vulcan & its system), and the Terrans spawned fine for some reason, then I re-added the other planets.
