4th when scrolling down with the mouse the buttons jump up on its own...
5th. Deaths without being attacked by anything..
6th F9 errors
7th After disconnecting from 2.0 the Client will not allow you to log back in to change race "Connect Failed"
try it a 2nd time and the frontier crashes on the Client...
8th.. Playing of Offline Mode The client Crashes on its own....

Fighting another player is almost impossible cant even see with the lag...

The Speed it Runs.. to slow and shots way to fast...

Im sorry if 2.0 is released i want no part of it as it currently is...

If 1.4 dies out so do I....

im only saying this because i want to help SF... and after many tests on 2.0.. im sorry i have nothing good to say about it...

And if you dont believe me ASK. Spok. we both tryed to have a battle in 2.0 tonight and we both experenced the FLAWS in 2.0!!!

Do you guys not get that the game is in ALPHA and needs testing? I believe there 'are' issues when a server runs for a long amount of time, of course. We're still working on it. That's why it is not a RELEASE. Aka, why we don't advertise it.

The game speed is fine, it feels like its slow, but it is not. I already prooved this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3TpHh4ztvZM , which actually the 2.0 ships accelerate faster. It's because you are used to 16 FPS only with super skipping ships, now that the ships are completely smoothed out. 64 FPS = you can see more/feels more slow. I'll see about improving the speed now, it will be more 'fast paced' then 1.4 was though. At this time it's = to 1.4.

But the gun shot speed, is being worked on. It does fire fast because there 4x frames now to shoot more with. It will be fixed when I add fire rate to guns. Already posted this.

#8 The client has always often crashed in 1.4 when logging out/back in, just happens, will fix it ventually.

#7 should be fixed in the new version, Brent fixed that.

There may be death errors as we need to go over what messages should not be sent to the client and other things. Most likely the colony stayed alive due to the jump experience you were having, but it doesn't really tell us much.

---

For the rest, Brent posted a way to lag debug. http://stellarfrontier.ss-network.net/index.php/topic,1196.0.html so we can fix stuff for you guys, but no one seems to be doing it. Screaming OMG THIS AND THIS AND THIS doesn't help us one bit. I think there is a sync issue again, when the server runs for too long, but I'm not sure if its a game engine bug or network bug, as 1.4 does it too, just slower, because again, less FPS. Also, if you ARE getting crashes outside what I've stated above., don't you see when it says you can SAVE a crash log? You know, to send to us so we can fix it.  Alpha = In works and will have bugs... Testing = Ways to give us bugs to fix.

Nothing good to say about it? '1.4 dies so do I.' You sure have a harsh way of stating alot of things rather then trying to help the game properly. (1.4 syncing was bad. I mean, if you remove mines, I doubt anyone would die because you get out of sync like mad. Was just a lucky shot with a large gun.). I'm trying to be nice here, but there was nothing really constructive about this post and there wasn't much info for a developer to use/fix bugs,  sorry.

Anyways, Mobious needs to update as well now since I just released a pretty large update that needs testing. I suppose when I get back next week, I'm going to start getting into game and get crash logs and lag debug logs for us to actually use. It's pretty hard to do everything when the game developers have to sit and test for hours too. 2.0 will be nice when it's complete, but it's still in its building stages.

^^^ What nite said. Be constructive and provide specific ways to reproduce problems or we can't help you.

Please make sure the server and clients are all up to date. The network protocol changed a bit between alpha releases.

Oh and actually I meant: http://stellarfrontier.ss-network.net/index.php/topic,1183.0.html for trompetes post.

The capturing of packets. Though it would be good if MOBIOUS did this on his end so we can match up stuff.

Awesome Cheesy Make sure you get the new update from SVN that was released yesterday. For the most case server crash is probably something to do with the game engine side though.
