I was playing stellar frontier fine on my home network with my laptop. I had to do a system restore before I went back to college after break because I picked up a nasty adware program that was called rapid antivirus that my spyware protector was asleep on the job for. When I got to college I tried to log into SF, but it keeps crashing. It lets me get to the sever select screen. And it barely lets me get to the character select screen before it goes boom.

I shut off all of my firewalls, anti viruses, and spyware detector programs because I thought they might have been screwing with my connection, but that didnt work either. I even uninstalled the whole thing with little success.

I get the message frontier.exe has stopped working.

I'm running vista with a solid connection to the internet.

To everyone that has been talking to me while my character barely logs on, I am not ignoring you haha, I just dont get enough time to chat before I crash.

Hmm- have you tried completely uninstalling and removing SF and then downloading and reinstalling it? It's possible that the adware program you referred to, or one of your antivirus/antispyware programs, messed up something with your installation of SF...

The installer for Stellar Frontier 1.2 rc 5, 6, and 7 can be downloaded here.

Good call DarkSun as I remember, SF used to be detected as a trojan when I played it with Norton Antivirus running in the background (wasn't my PC so I had no idea) it came up with some fancy explanation as to why SF was a evil haxor trojan. No doubt Skillet was peeving around at the time so heh.
