No matter what theres going to be a new nexus with 2.0 because the stats are completely different.

I don't mind doing this, maybe a second nexus though rather then wiping the current.

It's not a big game at all, and there is nothing gained (so i see no reason in why it matters), but i still like to be able to see my progression, and it'd be nice to have the inactive players sifted out, and everyone start anew.

you know what? it doesn't matter. this is now an Indie project, and if you don't like it, either help nitehawk code or just shut up.  if shutting up requires you to leave, then leave.  I've had enough.  Flaming certain members is something i can stand up, though i absolutely hate it.  and now you FLAMING THE GUY WHO IS REBUILDING SF?!?!?!?!

And STILL Nothing...

Whoa now.  Just keep it calm here.  I realize it has been a very long wait.  But ya have to understand that Nite is just one man.  I know nothing about programing, but even in my ignorant state on the matter I can see just how bad the network and client is screwed up.  Play the current version of the game and you can easily get a feel just how bad it was originally done.  I honestly think it would have been better to start from scratch.  That being said he has asked for help here.  If no one steps up, then you can't expect the game to progress quickly.  I really wish I could help, but as I stated before, I have absolutely zero experience in coding.  I am not about to try and take on a job such as the sync/lag issue just starting out with nothing but a broken code to reference.

You also have to keep in mind that the other games you listed are maintained and updated by a full time staff working for a company that creates and publishes games is their main commodity.  So of course they will be able to keep things updated and new.  Most of those games also do not fit into the same niche as a game such as SF does.  Therefore it do not feel it is at all fair to compare SF to them.  Do I think SF will ever be as popular as those games?  Probably not, but I honestly do feel like it has the possibility to have a solid stable community once again of people who still dig a old school type game such as SF.  Hell, I continually get annoyed by the game play that is sacrificed for graphics and video that are in most of the newer games.  They are simply too short and at times, down right tedious.

By the way, I could care less if there is a 1.4 reset either.  All my stats are legit, but points are pointless in the current version anyways.  So if everyone would like to start fresh in 1.4, I am up for it.

Anyways, I simply ask for even more patience and support where you can.  If some day the updates are completed, great!  If not, there are the other games you mentioned to hold you over.

Anyways, no worries.

I'll see about getting a blank nexus up this weekend. I also had some time to work on SF.

Theres some issues with firing which I think I got solved, and I think theres some issues with the GUID adds I fixed. but I think I got most of it so far solved. Bullets are going to be better in synced but they'll still have a slight off issue, I'll eventually have to fix it but it should still be 1000% better then 1.4

If anything when thats done ill make a 2.0 nexus with the old nexus coding, so its going to have security problems but well just ban those idiots who cheat This is of course, until someone remakes it (MOOOBIOUS !!!! )

Im all for a reset or anything else you decide to do still got 3k worth of burnables and whenever there is a clear nexus well add people as many as can be gained.    Any other things that i can do that need done please assign task to whatever you think we can help with.

The reset is fine with us since we have clearly won sf showing that time and energy of our players and the outstanding efforts of our fleet in this game has clearly caused the loosers to whine for a reset.  

I wish to thank all the Outcast for the huge win and the end of a era.    We shall win again in another 14 years so get ready.   Eat our dust well see you in the rear view mirror.

yeah where were you in 1.1 ?   did you fight then?  have you played my number of years?  i dident think so so say whatever any of you wants too does not change the facts that the OE has won sf upon any reset.  i hope it is a spit in the eye for some and a pat on the back for others that have spent the time and have maintained SF even when others quit.    long live the OE.
