First of all, hi. I'm AhrenJB, or FlakPanzer in game. I played Stellar Frontier years ago on the official sf.net nexus. After all the downtime and chaos, along with new PCs, SF was lost to me.

I recently stumbled on it again and was slapped with a big serving of nostalgia, and was obligated to install.

Now the point. Seeing as there are only 2 servers active at my last check, I want to host one of my own. Provided I can work all the kinks out and get a general understanding of how to modify things I even have an old Win98SE system I would set up as a 24/7 server. First things first though.

I glanced through the primers and guides, and some of the stuff gave me a headache, but without too much trouble I was able to set up a server, see it registered on the nexus, and play on it. Nobody else joined while I had it up so I'm not sure if it was working properly.

What I'm asking is for is someone with an understanding of these things willing to talk to me live via IRC, AIM, YIM, MSN, Skype, whatever your preferred client is so I can ask any quick questions, have a remote tester, etc. If you would be willing to do this, please PM me with your information so I can add you to whatever list I need to.
