Hey guys, I like some of the stuff that was done so far.

However, I do have one request.  Could someone put up the old sound folder for download.  I am not a fan of the new in game sounds, they sound muffled and messed up to me.  I would download an older version of the game, but at the moment I am too lazy to do that. Tongue

I think if you press "Upgrade" in the game client you should be able to download anything from 1.2 and possibly before that. It's on a seperate tab then 1.3

Sounds weren't edited at all in 1.3.x

Music was though. But the midi system was removed, you can disable it however.

Maybe some wav files failed to download properly?

Hmmmm, it could be.  Ill re-download them and see if that helps.  I figured that with the new music, the sounds were also tweaked a bit  Wink.

Heheh, not yet! ATC has an idea to remove them all and is in the works of creating new ones.

To be clear, the old sounds are freaking annoying! Specially the pinging noise, some of them can be turned off. Back then on a old computer, the sound was 'clear' to us, but now with new aged stuff all the sounds are totally outdated, and they sound horrible. So could be just that. There old school, and very annoying sounds Tongue There muffled in a sense because there all low quality if maybe thats the case.

I was thinking muffled more as like scratches kinda muffled, but that occurs when wav files are not completely downloaded sometimes. But if its because they sound like they were from the 90's on a tape recorder in someones room, then yeah those are the sounds currently. Tongue

Turns out there was nothing wrong with the game sounds files at all.  I just happened to finally break down and installed vista.  That coincided with a new update to the game in which I assumed it was the update.  Turns out vista did not support my sound card fully which made the game sounds sound worse than normal.  I installed the drivers for the integrated sound card on the motherboard and everything is working good now, sound wise.
