AdmiralTigerClaw's "Local Neighbourhood" scenario, made possible by Sandtrooper

So far, all the stock systems are in (except the Drengin & Arcean home systems, that would be unreal). Distances still have to be adjusted, and Epsilon Indi will not be in the scenario. Wolf 359 is a red dwarf (its the same size as Sirius "B", but recoloured red), and I've yet to decide on how many planets it will have.

Any critique ATC?

Add a zero to the distance factor.  I should only see one system ON the map.
Here's the ones within ten lightyears from my old version.  When I made this, I actually broke out a protractor and a ruler.  The distance between systems is to scale.  Though the systems weren't.

Code:
#INCLUDE sf_data_planets_Sol.sec           ([r]=0.0,[a]=0)
#INCLUDE rl_data_planets_ACentauri.sec   ([r]=30.0,[a]=275)
#INCLUDE sf_data_planets_EEridani.sec    ([r]=82,[a]=85)
#INCLUDE sf_data_planets_TCeti.sec       ([r]=100.0,[a]=45)
#INCLUDE rl_data_planets_Sirius.sec       ([r]=65.0,[a]=135)
#INCLUDE sf_data_planets_W359.sec      ([r]=95.0,[a]=157.5)
#INCLUDE sf_data_planets_61C.sec        ([r]=90.0,[a]=0)
#INCLUDE sf_data_planets_R154.sec      ([r]=65.0,[a]=315.0)
#INCLUDE sf_data_planets_BSTAR.sec    ([r]=45.0,[a]=292.0)
#INCLUDE sf_data_planets_PCENT.sec    ([r]=40.0,[a]=270.0)
#INCLUDE sf_data_planets_Procyon.sec  ([r]=60.0,[a]=202.5)

WOW...those distances are REALLY far away....the downside to this is that targeting is absolutely flawed (The only things I could target when I spawned at Sirius was Pluto & its moons). Obviously this is why we need the Quantum tunnels if this is going to get off the ground.

Well, this map functions okay if you're in the local space of a system.  It's when you have to go ELSEWHERE that you have a problem.

Then you have to go into the nav command and scroll through the planet list and select the planet of your choice.

That's a reason why I suggested the dedicated astrogation display.  Space is HEYUEG!!!!!

I think sensor ranges plays a part on what you can target or not, but I'm not positive exactly. Try raising the sensor ranges in the module and let me know though, like set them super high.

Found this online, dont know if it will help, but here it is !

From http://www.solstation.com/47ly-ns.htm

They actually have a moveable 3d map of local space, might be useful ? Grin
