Mr Staker sir ! We're designing new colony bmp's for SF Classic, it's all done but i use a 2d program and we need a 3d version for the -3 file. Was wondering, (trying to put this as nicely as possible !!!) can you knock up a 3d version of this with Autocad ? And in green and yellow ??

EDIT
Silver is RGB 127,114,103 (# 7F7267)
Green is RGB 0,64,0 (# 004000)
Yellow is RGB 128,128,0 (# 808000)

That colony looks too Arcean to substitute for any other race IMO...unless you're rendering more colony designs?

Awesome! Nice job too!

As for different colonies per race, we were thinking of using this one but different 'color' lights.

Feel free to oppose and all, so far sand has said he thinks its too arcean, etc. It technically is pretty much like it, but not sure it really hurts? Otherwise feel free to discuss.

Nice job Staker, i want that program !

I see Sand's point, it's a little like the old Arcean one although i didn't set out to make it that way. What can you do with colonies ? Glass domes or buildings is all i could come up with. I look at the old Drengin and terran one's and i'm not even sure what they are. The bmp's are only 32 sq and 24sq, you can't get much detail in such a small space. These one's render out nice, they look good on the planet or on the back of a ship. At some point we gotta put the classic version to bed !

Just realized also needs the 'lines' (like a domeish way) to the middle/center.

I really couldn't figure out how to put the line... I might just do a pipe from one end to the other XD

Yea... it took me 2 semesters of College to understand Autocad... I believe CATIA and Solidworks is a lot easier to deal with then Autocad XD
