I tried arcean myself, and it's quite horrible. I do not know how to colorize/texture at all. I'm really just practicing, not really caring what I'm doing atm. I'm not sure what we are/aren't using until everyone here makes up there mind..

P.S. ignore the texture Sad

Basicly without (Though you cannot see the floor texture)

Horrid :x

Okay, here's what I had in mind for a space colony.

Essentially a tube ringworld colony.

The outer ring and the support struts would rotate 'around' the inner ring, the inner ring anchors the power/light source and docking port arms to the structure so large space craft don't have to undergo complex docking procedures.

Something like this? (Not colored yet and I can adjust the light to be really anything.)

Took a pic of the bottom view by mistake, but you get the point.

Kinda.

From there the docking arms can be adjusted.  They don't have to be balls on the end of two sticks, I just used that because it was easy to vector shape up.

In fact, my entire design is nothing more than just vectoring it up.  Really, if you want to make it look a little more 'substantial' do so.  All the shapes are generally derrived from the outer circle and a pair of squares with one rotated an eighth of a turn.
