Bug: Shooting down torps doesn't work as well as it used to. Shift + a sometimes targets, sometimes does nothing at all. Anyone have a clue why?
Request: I'll admit, I miss it. I can live without it but I don't want to. Bring back q-park and I'll love you forever. <-- probably shouldn't go in technical support but I don't care. Bring it back or tell me how I can connect to 1.3x with 1.2rc5. Please and thank you.

Alot of bugs will be fixed next version. And what you mean, in 1.2RC7 and 1.3 is there a difference with shift-a (there shouldn't be, haven't edited it at all.) Or has it been like this since 1.2? You cannot connect with a 1.3 version with 1.2, simply because alot of gaming has been changed, it doesn't work properly.

yeah, there is now a difference. when using shift a for lasering weapons anyway. might be fine for targeting other things.

Might need to do some sorta AFK for qparking, maybe allow it when orbiting a friendly planet, otherwise I can't see it coming back since it was removed in 1.2RC7, and it was due to people abusing it.
When you mean 'torps' do you mean missiles with trails? If this is the case, and you disable trails in the options, is it okay?

I'm talking about all weapons. Mines, Stingers (and each races equivalent), rams, missiles and so on.

I tried in 1.2RC7 and 1.3.3 and I wasn't able to see a difference on my end, unless it had a trail. Was getting planet fire and I could hit shift-a and it would select the weapon if it was closer then other ships etc (Since shift-a is made for selecting the nearest enemy weapon/ship/colony) from what I can tell.
Can anyone verify what Ditch is getting issues with, minus missiles in the area.

As well I did fix the trail bug just now too that when several trails were around was hard to select with shift-a or mouse selection.

For q-park, I think it's silly that you can do it anywhere, it's normally used to cheat a bit or idle in space without getting hit. It can be used as a AFKer, but I think it honestly should be only 'able' when orbiting a friendly planet, for example..
Does osmeone have a suggestion for this?

A lot of my strategies were based around manipulating Q-space...

Orbit the planet and insert a command or button to "park" or "stand down", so you can't get hit OR hit anyone...

Yeah but Qdrive park is considered a exploit is it not?
It's like if you had unlimited weapons, and I threw limited weapons on, sure you'd complain too because you'd been used to the 'unlimited'.
Just think that Qdrive is a means of hopping about or moving to one location or another and not a means of sitting and waiting for things to pass through. That's what cloak should be about.. No?

Yeah I agree in general, but I'd still like people to have it if they want to AFK, but like I'm not sure how to handle this. The simplist way is a 'friendly planet' AFK where you can qdrive and sit, but theres a more difficult way, which would be something like "If status is Green and have not fired for 10-30 seconds or some garbage like that' Though that way is more difficult to do and could be cheated a bit since green status doesn't always mean a ship won't be at you in a second or two.
Unless someone has a better way..? I'd probably map it out to be a key or some sort.
