That is circa like my first year playing if I remember right - maybe circa 1999. RichR29 and myself moved over from RUSH and he was also given a "founder's position" which would have been around 2001.
I still fly my DEF tags =)

No, it wouldn't have beern 2001 because I trained fffan12 myself before he left ALL and founded that fleet.
I was but a newbie in 01.

reason i played with a dude named hollow yesterday and he claimed he was DEF member from way back.
just trying to decided who he was, said he wasent Sir Moby, or Blackdog so not sure who he was but he knew me and fought like a vet. we broke even after 12 duels so who ever this guy was was good and had been playing a long time.

well he says hes not Rich or Sokko and admited not to be Ditch either but says hes a very high ranking member of DEF and now says he wont tell me even if im right.
he also says that Def was a huge fleet back then and everyone forgot him.
I now have bested him several times in combat and he now leaves when i come in a server like hes scared. so watch for Broken with the ship name Hollow and see who this cat is ..... Hes a main dude with DEF and he sure wants all to know hes changed his name and stuff to "start over as someone that no one knows" so beware of Broken hes far from Hollow.
