Some of you may or may not remember a mod (some NSFW language & broken pic links) I was building in my spare time, a Star Trek-type mod...

Well since then, I've rebuilt it, and solved the problems with race 6 (005 in SF)...so now I've got 8 working race with separate ship designs for 4 races. Now the problem remains, is it stable?


(To fix that background problem I kept getting, SF hates 32-bit colour depth, I hope somebody fixes that)

  • Bajor (3 Planets) (This is bug-riddled)
  • Callinon (7 Planets), Dominion area
  • Delta (2 structures), Borg Unimatrix
  • Romulan Star System (2 Planets), Temp. Maquis homeworld
  • Breen (1 Planet)
  • Klingon Star System (1 planet, 1 moon and its fragments)
  • Chin'toka Star System (Not operational)

Any comments/suggestions while I work on this?

(1, YES, I know the problem with "Ferengi" at this race and that, thats SF's fault)

The mod is progressing slowly, but there is more stuff added by me and Duke Name....I've just been adding more races....heres 3 screenies:

(See updated "Terran" pic in 1st post)
The Feds and their massive fleet (16 Bots vs 100 allowed in the game)


The Remans


And for some "Star Fleet Command" series races to fill in the 4 slots to get to the next shade of green:

Race 9: Hydran (darker shade of Purple)


Race 10 will ressurect the Maquis (Race "9" in SF is white)
Race 11 (Race "10") will be Lyran (another shade of yellow)
Race 12 & 13 (Race "11" & "12") will be either Mirak or Tholian
Race 14 (Race "13") will be Romulan OR Borg (depends)

Well, after that "reality check" (again I'm sorry about Tuesday  Sad ), I worked on the mod...

After "Race 8" are the following:

The Maquis (White)
Lyran Star Empire (Cream/some type of yellow)
Gorn Hegemony (Tan)
Tholian Assembly (shade of purple)
Borg Collective (relocated to Slot 14, now coloured "Aquamarine")
Romulan Star Empire (Slot 3)

Ever wondered what your race looks like in-game? (I'm pretty sure you know most of them, but you must be wondering what a "Lyran" or "Hydran" looks like)...

Current Bugs so far... (if NiteHawk reads this, it should serve as a good bug-fixer for 1.3):

  • "Colonizer" Bots (almost) always don't turn their starship around to warp out to wherever their orders send them, this is problematic with the Lyran, Dominion bots who have the rank, they instead drive toward nowhere to the east.
  • Census does not display past Lyran (Gorn is visible, but the ">" can't go past Lyran), plus most of the display stays if viewing specific info on a race
  • Romulans have the "ability" to monitor the next 10 races "Colony Departing" orders (It gives that "Tal Shiar" communications wiretapping feel, but it isn't part of the game due to no support above 4 races.)
  • "Colonizer" bots do not fight back, but if destroyed, they WILL fight you after respawning, but run away if hit. (This goes under "Strange bot behaviour")

Expansion/Additions:

Vulcan, Chin'toka & Orion solar systems added. No screenies due to "sf-ui1024.bmp" refusing to show up, making any print-screen unreadable.

Ref:

Chin'toka is a 4-planet system where two epic battles took place during the Dominion War. Chin'toka 2 and 3 are Class M. Chin'toka is also the system where AR-558 is located. In-game, Chin'toka is near Ferenginar as according to a map I have to position the planets. AR-558 is a Dominion communications relay, but not coded yet to be in Dominion control.

Vulcan is in 40 Eridani A, but I didn't get to code the other two stars in yet. Vulcan is a founding member of the UFOP. In-game, the Hydrans have setup an outpost at the gas giant Shesh'hin.

Orion is setup to be the home system of the Orion Pirates/Syndicate, I might create a new race for the Orions, or I'll hold off for 1.3.

With the size of the mod, once it's done, its best for people to download the mod from the site, not in SF (hours to DL in SF)

PLEASE READ, SOMETHING HAS GONE WRONG.

While screwing around trying to add weapons for the Feds, the game now loads like craptastic, no panel, no stars, no button backgrounds show up now, all sliding pixels which makes the biggest mess when modding goes wrong when its not supposed to.

Even my backup file does this to me, so nothing can really fix this (I resetted the computer x3, still does this)

WHAT A MESS.

Screw SF 1.2, I'm waiting for 1.3 which should be more stable than the PoS 1.2, which might help the mod.

EDIT: I am fixing the mod as I re-enable the races one by one, so far its working with 4 at the moment, as I increase the number of races, it should know to fix itself.

Work is suspended until further notice, as 1.3 is going to screw up ALOT of aspects that would be found in the Trek universe. This mod is either cancelled or incompatible with future versions of SF.

Are you mad cause I told you it wasn't cool that you killed me... You need to lighten up and know that I love joking around like that... And not only did I have to leave... But you are too sensitive to even joke around with.

Relentless is one of my friends... and I make fun of his fleet.. yet he doesn't get mad... So stop taking this game so serious and grow up.
