I'm making a pretty basic mod and I need a few things explained. In my mod all ships are available to all ranks, but this causes problems when I try assigning ships to bots. I've tried cloning the ship entries giving them new ID's and custom ranks. This did not seem to work. I think I'm on the right track but can someone tell me specifically how I should code the data_ranks, data_robots, and design_ships files to make this work

I got it to work by doubling the design_ship entries. in the first all ships are rank o, and the other one is normal. Then I assigned all the bots with normal rank. This carries the obvious side effect of making the list twice as long, but seems to be the only way to do it without creating new ranks.

Hrm, could you possibly show me your mod? If you don't want to show others, please PM me a link or send it to my email, chris@extravagantmedia.com.

Mods should work without doubling so I'm thinking something is wrong in there Tongue
