I went through my server list just now... I have some rather interesting mods on hand from the old days.

"Tigerclaw's Duel Center"

No fancy loadouts, no armor, no tractor beams.  Just you, the enemy, and lots and lots of blasting.   Plenty of bots to go around to keep things interesting in slow hours.  The planets are armed with devastating firepower.  And the hitboxes around the moons are expanded to provide a 'safe area' to take a break.  People attacking you are just about suicidal if they think they can last more than a few seconds against an angry swarm.

"Conquer the Galaxy!"

First Contact taken to the extreme.  A great server for long, protracted gameplay with the express purpose of playing to win.

"Local Neighborhood"

Yes, that's a zoomed ALL the way out map... and that's just Proxima and Alpha Centauri.  The map has all the stars in roughly a ten lightyear radius.  Q-jumps across the void take minutes to complete.  This is a map for the player who wants to play in a server where you really have to think on a strategic level.

I'll post a few others later.
