in the sf_data_game file, i want to make AI as hard as they can be, and the offensive factor seems to play a role in that, but i cant tell whether a smaller value or a larger value will make them harder........
Offensive factor has no value in this.
Offensive factor is for colonies, thats it. It is used for when dropping colonies. Aka 150 I believe is a 150% percent vs Defenders.
So dropping 200 colonies on a planet that has 200 colonies, your attackers will win because each attacker can kill 150% and defenders are always 100%. Hence it would be
200 colonies at 150% (ATK) = 300 damage
200 colonies at 100% (DEFEND) = 200 damage.
All defenders killed. Colony is taken over.
AI high, AI are stupid as of, AI need adjusting and a proper script, (SF 2.0)... AI will be scriptable in SF 2.0, aka you can adjust what they do. You will also be able to make single player missions too

Some things are being adjusted but yeah, dont expect much yet.
